About Me

My photo
After we've completed a house, it's amazing how many people say "Isn't it great how it all came together!"... as if by accident. This is a very small look into how it all "comes together".

The sun was shining the day I went to direct the pendant lights installation.
We haven't seen many sunny days here in the Sunshine State for the past 6 months,
so a sunny day is much appreciated!
The river even looked Blue!!
And look at our tree.
She's loving the rain even if we're not.
The electricians had 4 moooi lights to put up.
1 large, 2 medium and 1 small.
This is the Large One
Note: the marble wall is complete and looks really, really good!
It's very reflective, which is great as this hallway is quite narrow
(and will be even more so when the stairs go in)
This is the underside of the bridge with shadowline.
Our plasterer is so neat!
How many men does it take to change a lightbulb??
There's no way those plastic bags are coming off yet!
I can't wait to see them lit!!
My kids are on school holidays this week.
It's raining today, so our Seaworld day has been postponed.
Thank God I kept those light boxes...
there's now a cardboard city in our living room :)

I hope you're somewhere dry and warm.

  1. OMG! Look at your voids. I keep saying it but your home is going to be spectacular. I love your Moooi random lights. xx

  2. Can't wait for you to hit the on switch, very exciting.... ;-)

  3. Thanks brismod & Jenny :)
We do love a void... I just hope the house still feels cosy. I'm sure once the timber floors & veneer are installed it will 'warm' it up.... Mind you, I only worry about things like this on chilly, wet days like today.

  4. Hi Jodie! Thrilled you discovered my blog because now I have, in turn, discovered your adventure here.
The house looks amazing - love the deep set angles.

  5. Hi Virginia,
Thanks for your lovely feedback and for following my blog!
