About Me

My photo
After we've completed a house, it's amazing how many people say "Isn't it great how it all came together!"... as if by accident. This is a very small look into how it all "comes together".

Behold the Bathtub

I was being all secretive about our bathtub a few months ago because there was only one left in Australia and there was no point bragging until it was ours.
I don't really love a bath but this one could turn me!
Also it will be so nice to look at in our bathroom surrounded by marble.
We got this ex-display for 1/3 of the price.
You know how much I love a bargain!

I love a white bath against a textured wall.
These were the images that inspired me to choose the tumbled stone tiles.

I was also glad to see that our idea of the rock wall with cobblestone driveway works well

I love the natural stone in this space

How stunning is this place?!
I'm hoping that the Marble, Timber Veneer & freestanding tub combo
looks as good as this in our house

That tile screen is a killer! I wonder if my tiler would attempt that?

It's hard to see our house with all of the scaffolding still there.
Adam tells me today that it's "making up very good time"
I like the sound of that!!
I'll take some pics tomorrow as the top level has been painted and the steel to support the blades has been installed.

Billie and I did a bit of shopping on the weekend.
We bought an authentic wooden Kokeshi Doll to add to our collection.
We also found this gorgeous red poof for Billie's room
(because she is obsessed with red)

This is Remo.
He likes red too, (because his big sister does).

We had dinner with 12 friends at Libertines
The food there is always divine
...and the lighting is fabulous

  1. One of my favourite part of blogging is reading your comments, feedback & suggestions...

  2. oMG love the bath, the shape is so unusual and chic, I dont think I would get out of it if it was mine :)

  3. Thank You Natasha. It was love at first sight. I hope it's as comfy as it looks :)

  4. Lovely Jodie. You'll really enjoy that bath. It's stunning. I like the no handles too, but I imagine you would then spend your life polishing off the hand prints...

  5. Thanks Mrs Catch!
Yes, I agree.. Wouldn't enjoy the maintenance of no handles. Will just have to keep looking for a handle that blows my hair back. I have the cabinet makers breathing down my neck so time is running out...
