I hear that the Stonemason has almost completed our Rock wall.
I can't wait to see it!
You all know that I have a bit of a natural stone obsession.
Yes, it's a costly one...
but I don't buy designer clothes, shoes, sunglasses or manicures,
so I figure I can go over budget every now and then to have Stone in my house.
We are drawn to seaside & rocky places for our vacations
and if I end up up places like Positano.... it's for research purposes ;)
This was in 2007
We will be there again in 12 weeks!!
One of our favourite restaurants in Positano
Capri
The Green Grotto, Capri
Vespa in Capri
Everything looks cool against a rock wall!
Crazy Pave at the Amphitheatre in Pompeii
stands the test of time
There are whole villages made of stone in Tuscany
The Cinque Terre
Another favourite rocky place.
Mama Mia... look at that water!!!
Manarola, Cinque Terre
Riomaggiore
Monterosso, Cinque Terre.
Portovenere
(between the Cinque Terre & La Spezia)
Stunning Place!
Marble, Limestone, Sandstone, Granite....... I love it all!!

Those photos look stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky are you to be going back there again soon :)
I love the look of marble and travertine the most :)
B
Thank You B!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to go back :)
We are going to New York and San Fran too, so I will be on the hunt for lights & interesting treasures for the house.
I love Travertine and Marble too. Marble is my absolute favourite. I really want to have a Pietra Grey Marble Kitchen Bench but everyone has advised against Marble in the Kitchen (BooHoo:(
Are you having Marble in your house?
Jx
Thanks for commenting on my blog Jodie :)
ReplyDeleteOh! New York!!! If everything goes well we hope to go to the US some time next year too. *fingers crossed*
We are not having Marble in our house. I've realised that building a first hourse to be your forever house isn't such a good idea :(
Our budget simply doesn't stretch that far :(
I did however want granite benchtops in our kitchen, but due to our island being 4m long it would have meant having a visible join. So we thought it would be safer to go with CS instead.

Crossing fingers and toes for you B. I think we all need a holiday after a house build!
ReplyDeleteCaesar Stone is good. We use it everywhere!! We are using 'Oyster' again in our Kitchen.
